IISc(Indian Insitute of Science) Summer Fellowship in Science and Engineering for SC/ST Students - 2010, bangalore

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was conceived as a 'Research Institute' or 'University of Research' by Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, in the twilight years of the 19th century. A long period of almost thirteen years was to elapse from the initial conception in 1896 to the birth of the Institute on May 27, 1909.

Last date for submission of filled in application form is 8th April 2010.

Selection Criteria:

IISc(Indian Insitute of Science, Bangalore). will evolve a suitable criteria for selecting the candidates for the programme.

Eligibility:

SC/ST students studying I year M.Sc in science disciplines (Biological, Physical, Chemical and Mathematical Sciences) or III year B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree, during the academic year 2009-10.

Financial Support:

Selected candidates will work with one of the IISc Faculty members and learn various techniques used in research for a period of one month during May-June 2010.
